Lewis Hamilton Opens up on Being Booed at Every Single Race And How it Affects Him Mentally

Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the best drivers in Formula One. Hence, it is not a surprise to see him have a few haters. However, the 7-times world champion revealed that the booing he gets during a Grand Prix weekend does affect him.

When the Mercedes driver was in Budapest for the Hungarian Grand Prix, he was booed. But instead of taking it negatively, he said, “It just fuels me.”

The Knight has his fair share of fans and haters. However, Lewis revealed that the booing does in fact get to him, as he is only human. Nevertheless, he aims to use it as his fuel, and prove the doubters wrong.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Mariana Becker at Jornal da Band, he said, “I definitely didn’t feel safe to speak about it, that’s why I was nervous. Cause each race, today, that I have, there isn’t one I don’t get booed. I’m the only driver that gets booed, every single race.”

“I’m not gonna lie, I mean, I’m only human so of course [it affects me]. Of course I hear it,” Hamilton explained.
