Liverpool fans have been begging LeBron James to help the club sign players after his latest tweet of support for the Reds. The basketball superstar has big links to the team, having become a part-owner in 2011. He has a 2% stake in the club, which he bought for £4.7m. This stake is now believed to be worth more than £37m, per KPMG (via BBC) He also recently invested in Fenway Sports Group, who are, of course,
Liverpool’s majority owners. So, it is believed that James now has a bigger role at Liverpool than before. The LA Lakers player has recently been tweeting about the club. He quote tweeted a post from the club’s official page of fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold after the Reds’ 3-2 win over AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday. He used the hashtag YNWA, along with a love heart emoji.

Liverpool fans loved the James tweet. Liverpool fans were delighted with LeBron’s tweet of support. James is one of the biggest names on the planet. He is arguably the best player that the NBA has ever seen and has dominated the game for over a decade. He has branched out into other areas like acting, which only adds to his aura. It is great for the club that such a big celebrity is publicly showing his love.

It will only encourage more fans to start supporting Liverpool and help them grow financially. Kopites have also taken the opportunity to try and get him to encourage FSG to spend some more money. In particular, on Kylian Mbappe. The French forward appears to have a good relationship with James due to their links with Nike. He is most Liverpool fans’ dream signing and is set to leave PSG next summer.
We would love to see James convince him to pick Liverpool over Real Madrid. However, it is probably not a realistic hope. That has not stopped people trying, though.
