Matured Andy Murray Sees The Sarcastic Side of Stefanos Tsitsipas’ Bathroom Break at The US Open 2021

British tennis star Andy Murray was up against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the opening round match at the US Open 2021. It was a thrilling encounter and the match went the distance. In the end, it was the Greek star who emerged on the winning side.

However, during the match, Stefanos Tsitsipas took a long bathroom break. Interestingly, that occurred when Andy Murray was sailing through and had the momentum on his side. Unfortunately, after the Greek player arrived back on court after a long duration, it affected Murray’s gameplay and his level dropped while Stefanos’ increased.

Not long ago, Andy tweeted a sarcastic comparison between Jeff Bezos and Stefanos Tsitsipas. He felt that the World’s Richest Man went back and forth to space sooner than the World No. 3 Greek star took his bathroom. He tweeted, “Fact of the day. It takes Stefanos Tsitipas twice as long to go the bathroom as it takes Jeff Bazos to fly into space. Interesting.”

Reflecting on the match, Murray took the first set and was holding tight in the second set. However, he made an error and it resulted in Tsitsipas claiming the second set. In the third set, Andy struck back and had the upper hand, winning the third set.

However, after the bathroom break, which caused the disruption in the momentum of the former champion, Stefanos got a glimpse of getting back into the match. Eventually, he ended up winning the match in five sets.

With this win, Stefanos has booked a spot in the second round. Although he lost, Andy can certainly take some positives from this event and it was by far, his best performance in a long time. We wish him the very best for the rest of the season.
