The world celebrates 53 years of Michael Schumacher as today marks his birthday. As F1 wished their idol on this momentous day, one person was missing; Michael’s number fan and the man following his footsteps, his son, Mick. Soon Mick wished his father a happy birthday, complete with a throwback picture to complete it.
In his Instagram post, Mick Schumacher thanked his father for passing on his passion for motorsport. Under a picture of the two seemingly ready to kart, Schumacher expressed, “Days like these were important to my growing passion for Motorsport, and still affects it to this day.”

As Mick credits his father for his enthusiasm behind a Formula 1 car, it is something the world is aware of. As Mick finished his first year in the sport, it is clear to see him following his father’s example. Maybe one day we’d see the Schumacher name written on red again?
Additionally, Mick had an impressive first year at Haas. Thus, the Ferrari boss believes that if he keeps up, undoubtedly, there will be a day we see Mick in a Prancing Horse. ‘“Being part of it, if you are doing well, no doubt you may have opportunities. He’s already had one season in F1, which is important.”
