Roger Federer Responds to Cry For Help Amidst Crisis in Ukraine.

36-year-old Ukrainian tennis player, Sergiy Stakhovsky, has been in the news quite often for showing his bravery for his country. A few weeks back, he joined the Ukrainian military reserves. Despite not having any military experience, his decision was truly commendable.

 

 

Earlier, he asked Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic to help him and his country. Even though the Serb responded to him, Federer didn’t. However, that changed, as the Swiss player finally responded to Stakhovsky’s plea.

Known for his various charitable works, Roger Federer recently responded to Sergiy Stakhovsky. According to the Ukrainian, Roger wants to help all the Ukrainian children. The Swiss player also hopes that there would be peace soon. In a recent interview, Stakhovsky revealed what Federer said to him.

 

 

“He wishes that there would be peace soon And that he, Mirka, and his foundation are looking for ways to help the children in Ukraine and also to look after some in Switzerland,” Stakhovsky revealed what the Swiss player said.

 

 

 

 

Also, Stakhovsky made a lot of sacrifices, as he had to leave his wife and children to fight for his country. In various interviews, the tennis player spoke about his horrible experience on the field. Incidentally, Stakhovsky’s one of the biggest wins of his career came against Roger Federer at the 2013 Wimbledon. He knocked out the Swiss player in the second round.
